Elder Care and Work: Finding the Balance
Employee Seminar
The Challenge of Caregiving
Over fourteen million employees today face the challenge of balancing
job responsibilities with the responsibility for caring for an older
relative - and their numbers are growing as America ages.
Employed caregivers feel the cost of caregiving in terms of stress,
negative health effects, and, sometimes, disruption in employment.
A significant portion of caregiver stress – and its related costs
to individuals and employers – can be prevented by taking advantage
of strategies and resources available in the community.
